Round 9 tipped off with a strong performance by Hobart Phoenix Premier Women, up against the Kingborough-Huon Kings. A standout game from Kylie McCauley, scoring 34 points, saw the Phoenix take a 102-66 win.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be a repeat performance for the men’s team, though, who welcomed Callum Barker back into the team for his first game of the season. Kingborough held Hobart at arms length for most of the game, until a late fight back saw Hobart draw to within three points early in the final quarter. A high-pressure final two minutes, though, saw the Kings finally run out victors, 58-66
