Social Member Prize Draws
Here’s how it works!
The number of weekly prize draws and their cash card values grow as more Social Members join the program. Here’s how it works:

When membership reaches 10 members, the program begins with 1 weekly Draw, valued at $25.

As membership increases, the value of Draw 1 increases in $25 increments for every additional 10 members, reaching $250 at 100 members.

At 110 members, a second Draw is unlocked, starting at $25, and increases by $25 every 10 members—reaching $250 by 200 members.

At 210 members, a third Draw is added, also starting at $25 and increasing in $25 steps per 10 members, until it reaches $250 at 300 members.
- The number of Draws and the increments of prizes continues in this way as more people join the Social Club!
Key Draw Dates – 2026
- Weekly Draws commence from Friday 27 February – Normal Draw with a Social Event!
- Weekly draws continue on Fridays following this date, excluding school holidays, with prizes at standard (1x) value – no weekly social events.
- Friday 17th April: Our first Mega Draw for 2026, offering prizes at 3x the standard value with a Social Event!
- Friday 8th May: Draws resume after the Easter break with a Normal Draw with a Social Event!
- Friday 10th July: The last Draw before the winter holidays will be a Mega Draw at 3x prize value with a Social Event!
- Friday 31st July: Weekly draws resume after the break with a Normal Draw with a Social Event!
- Friday 2nd October: The final Draw before spring holidays will be another Mega Draw, again at 3x prize value with a Social Event!
- Friday 23rd October: Draws resume after the Spring break – Normal Draw with a Social Event!
- Friday 11th December: Final Draw of the year will be a Mega Draw at a boosted 10x prize value before the Christmas break with a Social Event!
Mega Draws and resumption/normal draws will take place at the Talbot Hotel, New Town = Total of 8 get togethers for the year
All regular weekly draws will be conducted from the HPBA office with winners communicated to Social Members Via the WhatsApp group.
Throughout the year draw dates may vary to align them with other club functions/events that are occurring.
Changes to draw dates will be communicated via the Social Members WhatsApp group.
First draw of 2027 will be on Friday 19th February!
Social Membership Terms and Conditions
Cost
$5.00 per week per person, payable via a recurring credit card payment agreement.
The minimum membership term is ten (10) payments of $5.00 over 10 weeks, the minimum membership cost being $50.00.
Club-Priced Meals
Club-priced meals are available on Friday evenings at Social Club Draw Nights.
Members can identify themselves using their Social Club scarf.
Draw Schedule
Member Draws will take place weekly on Fridays at 5:30 PM from the HPBA office, with winners communicated to Social Members Via the WhatsApp group, excepting when a Social Event is held.
Draw Prizes
Prize values will be as per the description maintained at hobartbasketball.com.au/support.
All prizes will be Australia Post Prepaid MasterCards matching the dollar value stated in the table.
Draws will occur in order of highest to lowest prize value.
Mega Draws
Mega Draws will be held on the last Friday before each school holiday period (subject to change of dates to align with club events)
Each Mega Draw prize will be calculated as the normal prize value multiplied by the number of missed Draws during the holiday period.
Details of key Draw dates and Mega Draw multipliers will be maintained at hobartbasketball.com.au/support.
Eligibility & Rules
Each Social Member is eligible for one (1) prize per Members’ Draw date.
If the same Social Member is drawn more than once on the same date, only the first win for that date is valid.
Should a Social Member win any additional draws on the same date, the draw will be deemed null and void and a redraw will occur.
Members must be up-to-date with membership payments to be eligible for the draw.
Cancelling Membership
Members may cancel their membership by cancelling their recurring credit card payment after the minimum membership term of ten (10) weeks.
Cancellations must be made by contacting Club Admin (clubadmin@hobartbasketball.com.au) during standard working hours, Monday to Thursday prior to any Draw.
Cancellations cannot be actioned during “No Draw”/holiday weeks. Requests made during this time will take effect from the next Normal Draw week.
Payment Failures
In the event of an unsuccessful payment, Club Admin will contact the member to arrange alternate payment methods.
If a member misses payments during a holiday period, they remain liable for payments missed up until the next Normal Draw week.
Club Rights & Communications
The Club reserves the right to change Social Member benefits or Draw locations, with notification provided to all Social Members.
